The Idea to Product ® Global Competition

New Technology Opportunities | Developing Technology Entrepreneurs | Starting New "Ventures."

The I2P® Global Competition is an early-stage technology commercialization plan competition hosted by the Murchison Chair of Free Enterprise at The University of Texas at Austin. At I2P® Global, invited universities from Asia, Europe, North and Latin America compete for over $52,000 in prizes and a chance to enter the Global MOOTCORP® competition. Participants benefit from valuable feedback from the entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, engineers, and intellectual property attorneys on the judging panels. Competition entries should be unique and innovative, be feasible to implement, and address an identified market need, and they must have an underlying technology component.

“The Idea to Product Competition has been a great opportunity to showcase [my teammate’s invention]. It’s also helped us to learn from the judges’ experience and their advice…It’s been a great learning opportunity, very exciting.”--Tim Shippy, Georgia Institute of Technology, 2003 I2P® Global Competitor.

How to Enter

Welcome to the 2010 Idea to Product Global Competition. Thank you for your interest in participating in this year’s event, hosted by the Murchison Chair of Free Enterprise and the Idea to Product program at the University of Texas.  If you plan to compete and want to keep informed of upcoming deadlines and events you should complete an Intent to Compete.

Teams can enter the competition by submitting a First Round Submission - a 1 to 2 page document containing answers to a series of questions covering their technology, the best market for initial commercialization and the basic intellectual property aspects of their project.

ENTER HERE by Tuesday, September 28th, 2010 at 11:59 pm.
