Mr. Rob Adams is an active investor, author and consultant, and on the staff of the management department at the University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Management, where he is also the Director of Moot Corp. Adams is an active angel investor and is affiliated with several institutional venture funds, several of which he started. Prior to the venture business, he was a software operating executive. Throughout his venture and operating career he has been a founding investor in more than 30 companies, including Waveset (sold to Sun, NASDAQ: SUNW), Newgistics, and Troux.

Dr. Kay Hammer was the co-founder of ETI (Evolutionary Technologies International) and its President and CEO from its inception in 1991 until the end of 2005.  Hammer holds a doctorate in linguistics from the University of Iowa, taught at the college level andhas over twenty years of experience in a variety of technical and managementpositions in the software industry.  Dr. Hammer serves on the boards ofnumerous civic and industry organizations, and was a co-chair of the Serviceto Society working group for the University of Texas at Austin Commission of125, which set the University’s goals and priorities for the next twodecades.  She currently serves on the University of Texas Computer ScienceDepartment’s Advisory Committee and Development Board and is co-author of Fundamentals of System Integration for the Software Designer (forthcoming, Jones & Bartlett).

Dr. Mark Melliar-Smith is the Chief Executive Officer for Molecular Imprints, a start-up company located in Austin, Texas, which develops and manufactures step and flash imprint lithography tools. Prior to joining Molecular Imprints, Mark was a Venture Partner with Austin Ventures (2002-2003), a venture capital firm located in Austin, Texas, and before that he was the President and CEO of SEMATECH (1997 to 2001) and  the Chief Technical Officer for Lucent Technologies Microelectronics, the forerunner of Agere Systems, from 1990 through 1996. In his thirty five year career in high technology, Mark has held a wide variety of technical and management positions in R&D, manufacturing and business management, including Executive Director of the Bell Laboratories Photonics and Integrated Circuit Division, and also as the VP and General Manager of the AT&T Lightwave Business Unit. Mark holds BS, PhD and MBA degrees and lives in Austin with his Pat.

Ms. Jerri Paul is a freelance consultant for strategy, operations, and product marketing. She was recently a President and Chief Executive Officer of a turn-around small software company providing solutions in the social service industry. Prior to that position, Jerri served as a consultant with several start-up companies, venture capitalists, and angel investors to re-define investment strategies and realigned business models in order to face challenges presented by the tough economy. Jerri honed her business savvy as a business strategy specialist with Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, and an M.B.A. in Operations Management from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Charles Schieldsisa graduate of the University of Texas, Austin and Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management.  He has served as a consultant to the World Bank, 5 foreign governments and has worked in over 60 countries.  His international career includes service as a diplomat in Germany, senior executive for German and Swedish multinationals as well as founding several engineering firms specializing in Six Sigma factory automation.Shields has served on the Boards of more than 60 companies worldwide and has been active in advising both high tech and bio tech start up firms since 1995.  He currently lives in Houston, Tx. and is the founder and CEO of a medical services firm with offices in USA and China.
