Five Page Submission

Prepare a report (not more than 5 pages, not less than 10-point font or 1”/2,5 cm margins) with the following content. This report mirrors the major elements of the oral presentation and should use tables, lists and diagrams where possible. It is not directly related to competition scoring, but will be used by the judges to prepare for the event.

How to Enter

 

Welcome to the 2014 Idea to Product Global Competition. Thank you for your interest in participating in this year’s event, hosted by the Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Brazil.

Teams can enter the competition by submitting a First Round Submission - a 1 to 2 page document containing answers to a series of questions covering their technology, the best market for initial commercialization and the basic intellectual property aspects of their project.

The competition is by invitation only; however, all submitted entries are reviewed by the Idea to Product Program staff, and the top technology commercialization plans are chosen to proceed to the competition.

Championship Round

First Round Submission

Prepare a one to two-page summary (with not less than 10 point font and 1-inch/2,5 cm margins) answering the following questions about your technology product or service.  You may have a competitive entry without fully complete answers to all questions, but each element will be essential for the semifinal round.

Competition Requirements

In order to compete you must do the following:

  1. Submit a First Round Submission by the given deadline.
  2. Submit a Five Page Submission by the given deadline.
  3. Be present both Friday and Saturday.

Competition Format: NEW!

 

Each team will present their innovations in 10-minute presentations to panels of judges.The judges will then have an opportunity to ask questions for up to 15 minutes.Questions may be asked by the judges only.With about 5 minutes for transition, each team will have a 30-minute session.After the championship rounds the judges will adjourn to the Judges Room to deliberate the awards for their session.
 
As last year the I2P® Global Competition will feature three stages: feedback rounds, themed championship rounds, and a technology showcase and networking session.
However, this year, all teams will be divided into one of three streams for the feedback and championship rounds. The streams are themed into an ICT stream, an Energy stream, and one Life Science stream. The jurys will be adapted to each of these streams.
