The 2009 Idea to Product Global Competition
AT&T Conference Center, Austin, TX
October 30 – 31, 2009

Come See Technology Meet Society

We invite you to attend the 7th Annual Idea to Product® Global Competition, which will be held at the AT&T Conference Center at the University of Texas at Austin on October 30 - 31, 2009. The event is free and open to the public.

The competition will feature 15 university teams from Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. The teams will present their breakthrough technology commercialization plans and compete for over $52,500 in prizes that may be used to advance their innovations, as well as a chance to enter the Global MOOTCORP® competition.  Each year, the competition draws a large audience from Austin’s technology and entrepreneurial community.

The competition will debut three themed championship tracks and a technology showcase and networking event where you can talk with the teams and see their innovative technologies. Which technologies will become the next cure for cancer? Which technologies have a potential to revolutionize the battery technology? What technology will answer the world’s changing energy demands? What technology will drastically improve the quality of life for less-privileged communities around the world?

The team presentations are scheduled to kick off at 9:30 AM on both Friday and Saturday, and will culminate Saturday afternoon with a Technology Showcase at 1:15pm and the Roden Championship Awards Ceremony at 2:30pm.
