2007 I2P Global Judges

Dr. Tim Meldrum (Chair) is an entrepreneur and an educator joining us from the Entrepreneurship Centre at Imperial College, London where he has directed several technology commercialization programs including the inaugural I2P® Europe competition in 2006. He has also created and taught several course related to technology entrepreneurship, business planning and since joining the Centre in 2002. His research includes work in entrepreneurial management, especially the human resource implications and entrepreneurship history.

Dr. Dave Bonner is CEO of Regenetech, Inc., an adult stem cell biotech company based in Houston, Texas. He has led 8 venture companies and has been a faculty member at a large chemical engineering department and a senior officer of several specialty chemical companies. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California and his B.S.Ch.E. and M.S.Ch.E. degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He was named a Distinguished Engineering Graduate of the University of Texas in 2001.

Dr. Bob Bridge has worked for five high-tech start-up companies, the last three as founding CEO. He has extensive experience in company creation and in raising venture capital financing. Currently he is CEO of Zilker Labs, Inc., a company offering advanced power management ICs. Prior to Zilker Labs, he founded two storage technology startups: FlowEngines, Inc., which closed a $1.3M seed round in 2000, and Copan Systems, Inc., which closed a $12M series A in 2002. Prior to Flow Engines, Bob was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Austin Ventures. He earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas, and BA in Computer Science from Rice University.

Ms. Becky Taylor is President and board member for TD Partners, Inc. She has co-founded several technology-based software and semiconductor related startups. In addition, she works with seed stage companies to help them advance their technology and personal growth to prepare for venture financing. She currently serves as chair of the ACC Foundation Board Development Committee as her contribution to creating (and filling) challenging technology jobs in Austin. She received a BSCS from Iowa State University.

Ms. Carol Williams is the President for Trendsetter Electronics, an electronics distributor. She founded Trendsetter in 1995 and has organically grown the organiation to expand to a national and international company.
