The I2P® National EPICS Competition will be held on April 1-2, 2006 at San Jose State University in San Jose, California. Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) is a program in which teams of undergraduates design, build, and deploy real systems to solve engineering-based problems for local community service and education organizations. EPICS was founded at Purdue University in Fall 1995, and since its founding, 15 additional universities have joined the national EPICS program.
The I2P® National EPICS Competition draws from the EPICS programs from around the country. This I2P® Competition will include undergraduate teams and focus on the topic of social entrepreneurship. For more information, visit Purdue's EPICS Entrepreneurship Initiative (EEI) website.
Dr. Steven Nichols, the Director of the Chair of Free Enterprise and co-founder of I2P® International, will serve as a judge at the competition. He will extend one or more invitations to I2P® International to be held November 10-11 in Austin, Texas.
