Finals
- Randy Charbeneau –Associate Dean for Research & Jewel McAlister Smith Professor, College of Engineering, University of Texas at Austin. At The University of Texas at Austin, he has taught and conducted research in the Environmental and Water Resources (EWRE) program within the Department of Civil Engineering.
- John Hime – John was the early marketing executive in four remarkable high tech success stories: Tivoli Systems, MIPS Computer Systems, Frame Technology and Sun Microsystems. He is recognized as an Austin "super-angel", having invested and joined the boards or advisory boards of over 30 early-stage technology companies.
- Mark Melliar-Smith – Venture Partner, Austin Ventures. Prior to joining Austin Ventures in January 2002, Mark was the President and CEO of SEMATECH from 1997 to 2001 and before that the Chief Technical Officer for Lucent Technologies Microelectronics, the forerunner of Agere Systems, from 1990 through 1996.
- J. Moore – Admiral B.R. Inman Centennial Chair in Computing Theory and Chair of the Computer Sciences Department, College of Natural Sciences. Dr. Moore is founder and member of Board of Directors of Computational Logic, Inc.
- Carol Williams - In 1995 with $10,000 in personal savings and 14+ years’ industry experience, she launched Trendsetter Electronics, LLC. In September of 2002 –Trendsetter was recognized by the Austin Business Journal as one of the Top 50 Fastest Growing Privately held Companies in Austin.
