I2P® Rapid Challenge and Intellectual Property Worksop Kick-Off Spring I2P® Events
Feb 10, 2006
On January 31, TES hosted the Rapid Challenge event to introduce potential I2P® competitors to the competition. Over 40 students, making up 18 teams, participated. The teams had 10 minutes to conceive of a product using an ultra-small digital camera as the base technology and describe the product, its uniqueness and innovativeness, and potential market. TES officers and others with past experience with the I2P® Program selected the top three entries, who then made off-the-cuff presentations about their product. The members of the winning team each received a thumb drive. On January 7, Dr. Nichols spoke at a TES-hosted workshop on intellectual property and how to use it for competitive advantage. Afterward, the workshop attendees met at Posse East for the 2006 I2P® UT Austin Kick-off Party.
